What does a postcard mean?

It's easy to connect with other through social media like whatsapp, instagram, facebook, tiktok...It's all so convenient! With just a click, we can quickly show our friends that we like and support them.

Letter writing (or postcard writing) seem to have lost its appeal over the years. As technology made connection more efficient and a lot less tactile. That's what I miss. I miss the old fashioned handwritten notes. I miss the anticipation and the surprise when I open the mailbox. I miss using the postcards as bookmarks so that as I read, I'm also filled with the warmth of friendship.

And thats why letter writing matters.

Recieving a letter says:

I care for you

I'd make time for you

You matter to me

I want to share part of me with you

You are important to me

Modern methods of communication are helpful in bridging distances. But let's not forget that there are other ways of showing others that they matter to us.

Let's always carve out time to send some love to those whom we love.
